We are now moving to the detailed summary of Kundalini: An Untold Story without wasting any time.

Chapter 1: Why this Book?

In this chapter, Om Swami wanted to tell his story about why he began writing this book. This started when he was having a meeting with his disciples, and a lady came towards him.

The lady was a mind-therapist. She beliefs in Vastu, Fengshui, and tarot. She was very worried as a Chakra Expert told her that her chakras' spin is not right and hence her work is not going well.

He gave her special chakra incense, chakra pendants, and assure her that it will work for the solution. She believed that this thing would work and chakra will be balanced. But the pendant, which was having opal, emerald, ruby, and topaz and an attractive and fascinating design, make her feel good.

Om Swami, looking at the pendent, said that it is very close to your heart, but it is not working for your body's best part. The lady admitted this and also said that she had spent huge money on it. Now here is a point to understand that the only good feeling she was having is for her money. Now she thought that chakras are not real.

Om swami, without hesitation, said that they are real. The only way to awaken Kundalini is by prolonged meditation. Lady thought that purchasing such kinds of stuff will fasten the awakening of the Kundalini. In his journey as a monk, Om Swami had seen many people trapped in Kundalini's name awakening and Chakras balancing and all kinds of stuff.

For those people, Om Swami went on to write this book Kundalini: An Untold Story. The book will cover each aspect of each chakra and will define the Kundalini.

Awakening of the Kundalini is reaching your innermost state of bliss and joy. This state is covered with ten layers – desire, anger, greed, attachment, ego, passion, jealousy, hatred, fear and self-concern. - Om Swami

Chapter 2: Kundalini - The Beginning

Om Swami wants us to understand Kundalini's origin and its mention in our Hindu texts and scriptures. Here we are having a most famous Shiva and Sati story and the end of Daksha's yajna. It started with a yajna, and it will end in a yajna.

Sati with her sacrificed her life by invoking her latent energy. Later on, the great warriors Bhadrakali and Veerbhadra destroyed everything accompanied by Eight Vagadevis. The eight vagadevis are Kali, Katyayani, Chamundi, Ishaani, Mundamardini, Bhadra, Vaishnavi and Twarita.

As we know, Veerbhadra slew the Daksha, and later on, Sati reborn as Devi Parvati to Himvant, the Himalayas king. Later on, Shiva again married the Parvati and he went to Samadhi. As the destruction led by Tarakasura was increasing, all gods went to Devi Parvati to awaken Shiva from his Samadhi. Devas requested Goddess Parvati. But she refuses as she can't break the meditative stage of a great yogi.

Disappointed gods went to Manmatha, the God of love, and requested that he awaken the Adiyogi, Shiva, from his meditative state. The God of love shot all five arrows of love to Shiva. This enraged the great yogi, and he opens his third eye, and due to this, the Manmatha turned into ashes.

As soon as Manmatha turned into ashes, the whole universe became devoid of love and attraction. All creatures lost interest in the union, and hence chaos has been created. Along with the wife of Manmatha, Rati, the gods prayed to the great Shiva and asked for forgiveness.

The merciful Shiva looked at ashes, and hence he just put his glance and a new asura Bhandasura emerged. Bhandara was wreaked greater havoc to the devas.

Due to this monster, devas advised Narada to do a yajna, and from that yajna, the greatest and mightiest Goddess named Maha Tripura Sundari emerged.

This is an exquisite type: fair Colored, four-armed, fragrant, heady, lovely, well- maintained, compassionate, yet she was holding the five arrows of cupid, a goad, a bow, and an arrow.

The devas were now clueless on how to show gratitude towards Goddess; hence, they asked goddess Maha Tripura Sundari. She called her eight Vagadevis, who were companions to Bhadrakali and Veerbhadra in Daksha's Yajna's destruction.

The eight vagadevis went to sing glories of Devi. And that is where, in Lalita Sahasranama, the very first mention of Kundalini and chakra is made. Before the rest of the scriptures, commentaries, Samhitas, this is where Kundalini is touched upon since the pristine formless element of Goddess, the primordial energy.

Chapter 3: The Awakening

Here Om Swami acknowledges the potential energy which we are having since the birth. Om Swami talks about the Hanumana and how he forgot about his energies and later on discovered by the Jamavant.

Om Swami treats all of us Hanumana ho are accompanied by immense power and capabilities. He further talks that, like Hanumana, our talent and energies are lying within us. The potential is resting within us, and we are not aware of it. As Hanuman said to Jamavant that we are simple. But it is not like that.

The scientific discoveries we had achieved in the last two centuries are examples of the infinite potential of human beings. We had landed on the moon and planning to land on Mars. We, too, build supercomputers and much more.

The reason behind all this is that we are always born with a boon. Still, after the birth, we had lost it. We categorized ourselves as 'simple' and 'ordinary.' But we can awake this primordial energy when someone like Jamavant reminds us of us.

Kundalini, the latent energy used from birth and which has to settle in the base. We need to realize that supreme power is in us only and not on the outside. We always search everything outside, but we understand that there is no need to search for outside when we realize this.

Awakening of Kundalini, the primordial energy should not be confused with seeing the light or something snake-like sensation in your spine. It is not about not getting hurt when something strikes you. But it is about not reacting to fear, anger and revenge.

Kundalini is not a physical reality. Chakras which are not present in the body but they are psychoneurotic plexuses. Chakras are placed in the concentration of nerves.

Kundalini the word comes from three components: Kunda, Leen, E.

Kunda means hole, usually round and in the ground it meant for gathering and preserving fire or energy. Pits for sacrificial fire offerings are known as 'Kunda'. 'Leen' refers to absorbing and getting one. While the 'E' means energy. So that's why we call it the awakening of the energy that's also known as Shakti and merging with the Shiva in the Crown Chakra.

Chapter 4: The Three Knots

Om Swami here reveals a very great story of Buddha and his disciple. In this story, Buddha revealed the importance of untying the relationship and emotional knots we have with anyone in this world.

Om Swami later wrote that if a newborn wants to explore its own identity and individuality, he/she must be rid of his/her umbilical cord, which was tied to his since he entered into the womb. In this way, he explained what the Buddha has called before 2500 years ago.

According to Om Swami, the process of kundalini awakening is incomplete if someone is unaware of an intimate knowledge of the three knots. The three knots must be untied with the help of prolonged meditation.

When we talked about Kundalini in Lalita Sahasranama, you will get an idea that they had talked about these three knots, and later on, they moved to Chakras. Chakras are essential, but before Chakras, we have to work on these three knots. It is also stated that Kundalini will rise and will pierce all three knots.

Hurdles during the awakening of Kundalini are of two types, namely as Internal and External. External includes adi-bhautik, hurdles that hinder your progress due to lack of resources, and adi-daivik, obstacles created by nature, such as storms, wild animals, and so on. Internal into two types: adi-daihik, ones that arise from physical ailments in the body, and adhyatamika, challenges block your progress because of thoughts, emotions, and desires. Adi- daihik could be asthma, arthritis, even a common cold, or any other disease for that matter.

In our Hindu tradition, you have three things that are creation, sustain, and destruction. Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva do all these three things. A human's life can be divided into three parts based on desires that arose in one's mind.

The very desire to create comes in Brahma Granthi, which is the first knot. The creation must be protected, and it must sustain, and hence there comes the 2nd knot that is Vishnu Granthi. After all this, now one may have the desire to get rid of and attain liberation. This comes in Rudra Granthi, which is the third knot. They also represent the three major elements of human life that are sex, emotions, and destructive thoughts.

Om Swami has described each granthi or knots in a detailed manner. He has covered each granthi, and it is complete from in human's life perspective.

Chapter 5: When Shiva Meets Shakti

This chapter is a fascinating chapter as you will learn about the story of the great and renowned king's era, Susana, and his Ashwamedha yagya's sacrifice.

Awakening of Kundalini is the realization of your pure abstract intelligence, and it will free you from the clutches of fears, emotions and worries.

When your Kundalini rises, then it will become more intense. It will break every shackle of thoughts, desires, emotions, fears, and phobias. It turns you, the practitioner, into an adept, a Siddha at whose command anything becomes possible.

Kundalini's latent energy is present in everyone, and it is present like the fire in the wood. This creative energy is at the base of our spine. This energy has immense power to generate the Veerbhadra and Bhadrakali. It means that each yogi with powerful meditation can produce both masculine and feminine energies, and they will work on behalf of themselves.

When the union of Shiva and Shakti was completed, we got an offspring whose name was Kartikeya or Murugan who destroyed the Tarkasura and vanished the devas' worries. The Indra and indris rule the Indra control the devas. But if you will be in the meditative state, it means that you will be going to conquer the desires of indris; hence you will become a fright to Indra as we know that from ancient stories, whenever someone meditated for a prolonged period, Indra is the first person to be worried.

Chapter 6: Awakening The Goddess: Actual Sadhana

Om swami describes his experience of sadhana and his meditation, and the rise of his consciousness.

He was meditating in the Himalayas, and snow was falling heavily. Till now, he has completed almost a few thousand hours of meditation. Even after such a prolonged meditation, om swami had not felt the persistent sensation of his chakras. The place was tranquil and perfect for meditation, but his mind was not quiet. It was restless.

Om Swami's mind starts raising questions like the following:

What are you trying to do? What are you hoping to accomplish? Do you think you can awaken Kundalini in this day and age? Do you think that God will show up in person? You crack me up, you do. I can't believe you, with all your education and exposure, you believe in this nonsense.-Om Swami

But om swami didn't stop for a while, and he continued with his meditation as he knows that all those thoughts are temporary as he didn't pay any attention. His faith was never shaken, and he continued his efforts to complete his sadhana. He chooses faith over self-doubt and questioning.

Later on, he started experiencing the chakras. But he was able to experience those persistent chakras is only meditation, and everything finished when he completes his meditation session. After his meditation session, he felt no chakras, and it is like for him that they don't exist at all.

This thing continues for many months, and seasons came and go. But om swami was not able to reach the superconsciousness which he wants. But on one day, he was meditating, and something amazing came across.

During meditation, he got incredible awareness of himself and the surrounding that he was able to figure out where things are present in the real world without opening his eyes. This type of consciousness is generated in his mind.

This thing was not occult, not magic, but it was about the union that he was expecting, and after that, he became aware of everything present in his surroundings.

Om Swami now came to know about the realization of Kundalini. Everything in this world is interdependent and interconnected.

Later on, om swami got the idea of the presence of chakras in our body. The seven chakras are located in a straight line. There are five elements of Chakra Meditation, namely as visualization, mantra, posture, concentration, and diet regulation.

Awakening of Kundalini requires practice, effort, time, and commitment. It is not just a feel-good meditation; here, you are talking about an extraordinary transformation of the self.-Om Swami

When your Kundalini is awakened, your hunger, sleep, habits, mind, and thought process undergo a significant and irreversible transformation. Clarity improves, and memory and recall capacity will boom. You will get the upper hand on your imperfections, and they will not block you in your vision.

Later on, he talks about each chakra and gives a real glimpse of each chakra.
